Configure the TCP/IP Status Port (pcAnywhere) (All Windows) Category: Home > Software > pcAnywhere Use this setting to select which TCP status port pcAnywhere uses. Open your registry and find the key below. Create a new Binary value, or modify the existing value called 'TCPIPStatusPort' using the settings below. Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
Note: The default is the port for pcAnywhere is 1600 (hex). For compatibility with previous versions, change the port number to 0016 (hex). Note: Version 7.52's remote always uses the value in this registry entry. Version 8.0 remote only uses this entry if the TCPIPNetBroadcast entry equals 1.
